Different types of tests

In the testbed, products, services and organisational solutions are evaluated in all phases of development. The tests can be more or less extensive, with or without patients.

Technical tests in clinical environments – use patient data, but do not affect the treatment of patients.

Clinical testing of new technology – new technology is tested on patients in a way that affects the outcome of the treatment.

Pure technical test – no patients involved. May for example be the testing of a new interface.

Clinical studies – carried out with existing equipment that is unmodified, or modified to a negligible extent, which does not affect CE labelling and other certifications.
